I was born into a traditional Hindu family devoted to Shree Ganesh, where spirituality and daily life flowed together naturally. My childhood was shaped by the sacred atmosphere of morning and evening prayers, lovingly sung by my mother, which planted the first seeds of melody and devotion within me.

My father, a naturally gifted artist, expressed his talents as a director, actor, and singer in local musical theatre. Through him, I inherited a deep reverence for art, storytelling, and music as a way of life rather than a profession.

I grew up in Sanguem, Goa, at the confluence of two rivers — a place imbued with natural beauty and spiritual harmony. This environment nurtured silence, listening, and an intuitive connection with sound.

Through my father’s stories and personal experiences with Pandit Khaprumama Parvatkar, I was introduced at an early age to the depth, discipline, and soul of the Indian classical tradition.

My journey into Hindustani classical singing as a performing artist is rooted in my parents’ devotion to art, culture, and the timeless values of Indian tradition — values that continue to guide my music and my life.

My Music Masters
I remain deeply grateful to the two masters who accepted me as their student. Their guidance, care, and affection, combined with rigorous and disciplined grooming, shaped me into a performer of Hindustani classical music.
